The Risk Management Department aims to:
- Enable the Bank to fulfill its mandate to promote infrastructure and other productive sectors;
- Ensure the stability and financial continuity of the Bank through efficient capital allocation and utilization, and comprehensively manage risks and reputational consequences; and
- Foster a strong risk culture by embedding risk accountability in the Bank.
AIIB is looking for a Business Management Analyst to support the operations of the Office of Chief Risk Officer (CRO). The Business Management Analyst will be responsible for providing operational and coordination support to the CRO on major business and committee agenda.
The role will also assist the CRO in partnering with relevant support functions across the Bank to deliver streamlined and efficient processes, including aligning business goals and tracking results as well as strategic business development operations.
In coordination with the CRO, the Business Management Analyst will make sure that RMD is effectively covering the various risk related functions of AIIB and interact properly with them.
This position reports directly to the CRO and supports all business agendas inside and outside the Bank.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support to the Office of the CRO in delivering business plan objectives, supporting regular operations and their integrated business plan, staffing resources and budget, keeping track of required actions and respective deadlines and their proper reporting.
- Act as the focal point of the Office of the CRO for internal committees and the Board of Directors. Assist in the preparation of relevant reports and presentations in cooperation with other functions under the Office of the CRO.
- Update the department presentations for both internal and external audiences with the latest strategic items and adjust them for specific purposes.
- Coordinate with Risk Functions on feedback and build synthesis before internal committee meetings.
- Establish a systematic pre-screening process for documents for the Board and Board Committees, including the agenda and final submissions.
- Coordinate teambuilding and internal/external seminar events.
- Assist in the CRO’s engagements with external counterparts, including multilateral organizations, multilateral development banks, commercial banks, and AIIB Members.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in international finance institutions, including direct and relevant risk management experience.
- Work experience in multilateral development banks, or multilateral organizations, is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of the Bank’s internal processes and the relevant policies and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities required to build working relationships across teams; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate in a clear and succinct style.
- Fluency in English is a must.
- Self-starting, self-driven and proactive individual.
- Demonstrated experience, judgment, and leadership to execute multiple and diverse work programs.
- Ability to adapt and multi-task based on business needs to bridge resource/skills gaps and keep several business initiatives moving forward.
- Master’s degree or equivalent preferably in business administration, economics, or public administration.
