Business Presentation Designer

Who you’ll work with 

You will be part of our global Visual Graphics & Media team. This team is passionate about creating impactful visual communication materials that help our consultants communicate their findings and recommendations, inspire our clients, and push the boundaries of creativity. 

Based in our McKinsey office in Montreal, you will collaborate with other team members in assisting our consultants with the design of internal and external communication materials, these are predominantly PowerPoint presentations, but may include other print and digital media.  You will work in close collaboration with our French office as part of the Paris team. 

 

What you’ll do  

You will use your creativity and design skills to transform ideas into visually engaging, interactive, and memorable experiences and products for our clients. 

Whether designing a customized presentation or enhancing the visualization of data and key messages for a client meeting, you will collaborate with our consultants and other colleagues to develop compelling visual communication solutions and creative visual strategies for a wide variety of needs. 

You’ll have an opportunity to learn something new every day. While working on design projects for various audiences and purposes, you will gain exposure to all business industries in which McKinsey operates. And you will embark on a design career to grow into further areas such as graphic design, product design, or others.

Qualifications 

• Updated portfolio of graphic design work showcasing samples of branding, slides/decks, layouts, booklets, posters, banners, logos, and/or illustrations in a single PDF file or a web-based portfolio, such as Behance or Dribble
• Graduate or final-year student in a design-related field such as graphic design, advertising design, or architecture

• 1+ years of professional experience/internship or freelancing in a graphics-related field
• Knowledge of Adobe suite, MS Office applications (especially PowerPoint) and ability to express ideas graphically; additional skills (e.g., motion design, illustration, 3D modeling, vectorial illustration and/or isometrics, web design, UX) are a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing—in French (C2 level or native proficiency) and English (C1 level or fluent proficiency)
• Good time management and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, quality mindset, and drive for continuous improvement and results

• Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and share knowledge and experiences across regions and teams
• Outstanding client orientation
