Business Process Expert (Logistics / Finance)

The Launch and Data function sits within the GSK Ware Manufacturing site’s Logistics Management team. The team is responsible for providing the site with accurate and timely data to facilitate new product launches and to ensure that all aspects of the manufacture of products are performed in a controlled manner and meets commitments to international regulatory bodies, as well as the requirements of current Good Manufacturing Practice.
Reporting into the Harmonisation Manager (for the Process, Launch and Data team), the Business Process Expert provides business process expertise (P2P) to support incident, problem solving and business process improvement (both functionally and x functionally) to integrate the support function into the Supply Chain. The role includes working closely with key stakeholders to establish and maintain the elements of business process support (i.e. business experts, data reps, system trainers, etc) to enable 1st-line support within the Supply Chain to maintain material & information flow.
Key Responsibilities (include..,):
Provide technical support to the Supply Chain to resolve business process incidents within agreed service levels – break fix within the Supply Chain, this will involve working with above site shared service groups.
Deliver business processes that meet the Supply Chain needs and deliver standard work and remove cost from the business.
Responsible for problem management with regard to business systems – reviewing break fix incidents and building a plan of work with the Business System Manager to support the Supply Chain business process improvement.
Project manage small Supply Chain change projects and operational fixes/mitigation for functional / x functional activities to ensure benefit delivery – reduced variation and cost.
Work with other Sites & above Site Support groups (Communities of Practice) to provide technical input and to lead approved systems enhancements to maximize benefits to material & information flow within the Supply Chain
Responsible for technical support and metrics to ensure compliance and maximize business benefits from our operating systems.
Complete gembas and process confirmations of the business process within the Supply Chain to ensure these are in place and in use and compliant.
About You:
This role would suit a motivated person who has experience of working in a complex supply chain role (within a GMP environment). Knowledge of key systems is required (e.g.: M-ERP, eBRS, CDISY). Good people skills and a proven ability to work in a team (eg; flexible approach, good communication, planning and organizational skills) as well as good writing skills are needed. You will also have a strong continuous improvement growth mindset and a willingness to work towards standardised and lean working practices.
About Ware Manufacturing Site:
Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form. The site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company’s pipeline of new medicines in these dose forms, many of which are life saving medicines. A series of investments in new state-of-the-art equipment are being made that will support the delivery of a record number of new products.
