  • Remuneration: $90,916 to $102,545 pa. (HEW5) (inclusive of an annual salary range of $76,825 to $86,652 pa, 17% superannuation, and leave loading)
  • Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)
  • Open to: applicants who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Business Services Officer to join Student Services, Student Services and Wellbeing, Administrative Division.

The Business Services Officer delivers a range of high quality professional services and plays a key role in supporting Student Services and Wellbeing with efficient information, operational and administrative services.

The Student Services and Wellbeing portfolio leads the university-wide strategy and coordination of all non-academic matters related to the student experience. The portfolio delivers a range of services across the student life cycle, as well as providing advice and leadership to the university on a broad range of student and staff matters, including social justice and public policy..

What you need to succeed

  • Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a degree, or completion of an associate diploma with at least two years’ subsequent relevant work experience.
  • Proven ability to identify, interpret, apply and analyse policies and procedures to advise clients accurately and to develop workable solutions to address client needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, judgement and analytical skills to solve problems and manage competing priorities to deliver outcomes within agreed timelines.
  • Highly effective written, verbal and digital communication skills with proven ability to prepare data summaries, reports and briefing notes, making use of visualisation techniques.
  • Ability to work autonomously in an agile work environment and as part of a collaborative team focused on delivering a high standard of client service.
  • Proven ability to manage time and high- volume tasks efficiently, as well as respond positively to unexpected challenges at short notice.
  • Ability to handle and monitor sensitive information within a confidential environment.
