About the opportunity
Working in a full-time capacity as Business Systems Administrator, you will be the expert on our procurement system – COUPA. You will provide advice, develop training, and improve the COUPA procurement system to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate transactions whilst maintaining and improving customer uptake and satisfaction. Working closely with internal and external customers, you will drive high engagement and activity levels among users to reduce the risk of unsanctioned procurement activity.
Acting as a key point of contact for all Coupa requests, you will:
- Suggest and develop system improvements to improve usability and purchasing controls
- Provide insight into organisational spend, purchasing practices, and system usage through data extraction and analysis
- Collaborate with the Finance team for monthly reporting and audit requirements
- Be involved in departmental and cross-departmental collaborations

What’s on offer
A hybrid role where you can flex your time between any Uniting site and home. Corporate office is Lonsdale Street and the team head in 1 or 2 days / week. For the first month, while you’re learning the COUPA system, we recommend 3 – 4 days in the office to really get your head around things.

In addition to receiving a salary ranging between $80k – $91k and superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and access to the full $15,900 salary packaging benefits. There is also an option for additional purchased leave to increase your annual leave entitlements.
About you
You are either a procurement professional with strong technical computing skills or a strong ICT person with an interest in procurement. A curious mindset with a strong customer-first approach will see you work well with the existing team and help improve the user experience of the platform, in turn reducing organisational risk.
You’ll also bring with you:
- Tertiary qualifications in procurement, finance, ICT, business management or related field
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Capability building experience, ideally through coaching or facilitating
