In today’s rapidly changing world, NTU is encountering unprecedented challenges in aligning its research grant administration processes with the continually evolving needs and expectations of grantors and Principal Investigators (PI).
To address this, a third-party solution, the Research Information System (RISE), has been deployed at NTU, enabling effective grant management. The role of the Business Systems Analyst is crucial in articulating functional requirements and translating them into IT solutions that align with the overarching goals of the University. The incumbent will collaborate closely with RSO/OFIN/Vendor to analyze and define user requirements, recommend and evaluate comprehensive end-to-end IT solutions, oversee project and change implementation, and provide ongoing maintenance and support for the implemented system.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Analysis and Documentation

Meet with stakeholders to identify and create clear and concise documentation of business requirements for a given project

Analyze and validate requirements to ensure they are feasible and meet the needs of the business
Systems Design
-
Develop detailed system design documents, including data flow diagrams, process flows, and technical specifications
-
Ensure that the system design is feasible and can be implemented in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Systems Development
-
Ensure that the system is developed according to specifications and requirements
Training and Support
-
Develop training materials and provide training to end-users on how to use the system

Provide ongoing support to end-users to ensure they are able to use the system effectively
Communication and Stakeholder Management

Communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure they are informed of project progress and any issues that arise
Continuous Improvement

Continuously monitor and evaluate the system to identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
-
A recognized degree in computer science, software engineering, or related fields.

At least 3 years of experience in systems analysis and design.

Experience and expertise in low code programming, specifically in developing and maintaining applications using low code platforms such as OutSystems.

Experience in ASP.Net programming

Good technical experience with databases (MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle), web development, and user support.

Proficient in designing and developing scalable, maintainable and efficient applications to meet business requirements.

Good analytical skills and is adept at identifying, analyzing and resolving complex issues.

Good problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills and is able to work with cross-functional teams.
