- University degree, preferably in business, management, engineering or logistics, or relevant experience.
- Senior (preferably technical) leadership experience, normally acquired in an international or national organisation, in a governmental (military or civilian) or private sector setting.
- Extensive professional experience in civilian or military positions with decision-making power at the operational and strategic level within or with a ministry / department of defence, preferably acquired in CEPS member nations.
- Extensive experience in military and civil logistics, preferably in bulk petroleum logistics, including financial and/or procurement aspects, at senior staff or management level in a sizeable organisation.
- Knowledge of refined bulk petroleum pipeline management and/or bulk fuel management including procurement, storage, transportation, inventory management and product quality assurance and surveillance.
- Relevant seniority in the functional area: based on the job description of this position, please explain why you feel you possess the requested years of experience in the domain of work and in other functional domains of relevance.
- NATO’s two official languages are English and French. The work of this post is mainly conducted in English, therefore fluency in that language is essential and working knowledge of French is desirable/ an asset. Additionally, with respect to communication with the Territorial Host Nations, a working knowledge of German and Dutch is also desirable.

POST DETAILS
- Basic monthly salary: EUR 14 606.04, tax free.
- This post will become vacant as of 05 Januray 2026.
- Initial duration of the assignment will be for 3 years. The contract may be renewed, but will not exceed the definite tenure of 6 years.
- Duty travel expected, in accordance with NATO policy, in support of approved operations and missions, on a case-by-case basis, by traveling to theatre/mission locations, especially where Agency personnel are/will be serving.
