Brite is looking for a versatile café all-rounder to join us as a catering assistant at our new café in Broadmeadows. If you have experience in food preparation, cooking, and can make a great cup of coffee, this could be you!

Brite Café is a new social enterprise division of Brite Services, a dynamic profit for purpose organisation operating in Broadmeadows for over 47 years. ABOUT YOU

To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate would demonstrate the following:

  • Passion for hospitality and providing great customer service
  • Flexibility and the ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be a supportive member within a team of diverse people
  • Working or lived experience with people with disability is desirable
  • Experience in a similar role, 2+ years

ABOUT THE ROLE

The following skills are required for this role:

  • Extensive experience in preparing and cooking quality food in a café setting (e.g. baked goods, and lunch items)
  • Fundamental barista skills needed and/or willingness to extend your barista skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced café setting
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic working environment
  • Experience following safe food handling procedures, formal training preferred
  • Management of stock levels and rotation
  • Drivers licence to assist with supplier pickups and transport between Brite’s two Café sites
