Call for Applications for Consultant/Mentor Position

Background

Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) is implementing a project aims to empower women in climate adaptation through participatory dialogue, capacity building, and mentorship in Basra and Dhi qar governorates. The mentor will play a crucial role in supporting participants post-training, ensuring the implementation of learned skills and knowledge in their communities.

Objectives of the Consultant/Mentor Position

•Support Continuous Learning: Facilitate ongoing learning opportunities for trained participants to enhance their skills in climate adaptation and women’s empowerment.

•Provide Guidance: Offer individualized mentorship to participants, addressing their specific challenges and fostering their growth.

•Encourage Application of Knowledge: Assist participants in applying learned concepts in real-world scenarios, particularly in advocacy and policy dialogue.

Responsibilities

•Conduct regular one-on-one or group mentorship sessions to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies.

•Provide participants with relevant resources, tools, and best practices in climate adaptation and women’s empowerment.

•Establish a feedback loop to assess the effectiveness of the training and mentorship, adapting approaches as necessary.

•Help participants connect with relevant stakeholders and organizations to foster collaboration.

•Track the progress of mentees and report on outcomes related to their application of skills and knowledge.
