Introduction to CRD

Connecting Research to Development (CRD) emerges as a distinguished non-profit think tank, intricately blending evidence-based research with practical development initiatives across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and beyond. At the juncture of public health and social sciences, CRD meticulously addresses a spectrum of critical challenges, aiming to catalyze both meaningful and sustainable development outcomes. Since its establishment, CRD has championed the cause of building and nurturing strategic collaborations with an eclectic array of stakeholders. This includes forging strong ties with academic institutions, engaging with local and international organizations, and liaising with government bodies, ensuring that our research findings are not just theoretical but translate into tangible, actionable strategies.

In the realm of Research and Design, CRD prides itself on spearheading the development of innovative research methodologies and the conceptualization of projects that are specifically tailored to address the nuanced demands of diverse development contexts. Our approach is deeply entrenched in both creativity and scientific rigor, propelling our interventions to not only be groundbreaking but also solidly evidence based.

Understanding the critical importance of Capacity Building and Training, CRD dedicates itself to enhancing the capabilities of both individuals and organizations within the development sector. By deploying meticulously designed training programs, we aim to bolster the professional competencies and operational effectiveness of our partners. This, in turn, significantly amplifies the impact of our collective endeavors, ensuring that development efforts are both efficient and impactful.

In the sphere of Policy Work and Public System, CRD takes a proactive stance in influencing policy development and implementation. Our goal is to foster enhanced governance and the resilience of public systems. Through initiatives informed by comprehensive research, we strive to effect positive systemic changes, thus improving the welfare and living conditions of communities across the MENA region and further afield.

Monitoring and Evaluation stand as critical pillars of our strategy, ensuring the accountability, effectiveness, and scalability of various development projects and policies. This essential function enables us to make evidence-based adjustments, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
