Call For Two Group Leader Positions

The Institute of Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology (IGBMC), a leading European research institute near Strasbourg, France, is seeking two outstanding group leaders to establish independent research teams in Development & Stem Cells & Integrated Structural Biology.

IGBMC offers a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment with state-of-the-art facilities, including photonic imaging, omics, and structural biology platforms. The institute is affiliated with the University of Strasbourg and provides strong institutional support for securing national and European funding, as well as permanent research positions within CNRS or INSERM.

Positions Available

1. Group Leader – Development & Stem Cells

(Ref: TeamBDCS2025)

We invite applications from researchers focusing on cell and developmental biology across diverse model systems, from yeast to human cells. We welcome proposals that complement or synergize with our department’s expertise, particularly those employing experimental and/or quantitative approaches to explore new frontiers in developmental processes.

2. Group Leader – Integrated Structural Biology

(Ref: TeamBSI2025)

We seek a team leader investigating molecular and cellular processes using single-molecule approaches or advanced cryo-EM/cryo-ET technologies. Research integrating biochemical, biophysical, and structural approaches to study macromolecular assemblies, gene expression, RNA biology, epigenetics, or viral infections is encouraged
