The Promoting Peace and Inclusive Development Project (Promoting Peace Project) in the borderland counties in Northeastern Kenya is a joint project implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the Office of the Deputy President (ODP). This two-year project is funded by the UN Secretary General’s Peacebuilding Fund (PBF), and it focuses on inclusive governance, and strengthening social accountability mechanisms in Wajir, Garissa and Mandera at the local level.
UNDP invites interested and eligible non-state actors to submit proposals for award of grants in a programme entitled “Strengthening Community Feedback Mechanisms for Inclusive Peace, Security and Development”. The call for proposals targets Civil Society Organizations that have a working presence in the three counties of Mandera, Wajir and Garissa. Two CSOs per county will be awarded the grants.

ALL Proposals and supporting documents must be submitted to UNDP Kenya ONLY through email to lvga.ke@undp.org and mark in the subject (strictly before deadline) with the email Subject Matter clearly indicated as “CALL 9 – UNDP Support to CSOs to work on Community Feedback Mechanisms”.
The deadline for the submission of Proposal Applications is on 29 April 2024, 4:30pm Kenyan time. Any application submitted after the deadline will be automatically rejected.
