SummerQuest Camp is an outdoor adventure camp whose goal is to get children outside and encourage them to develop essential skills, while inspiring in each child a personal connection to nature. Who We Are: 
SummerQuest at The Crane Estate is a 9-week coastal camp for ages 5–14 running June 24-August 23. Start date is targeted at April 1, 2024 to begin camp preparations.

The Trustees (our parent organization) is a non-profit conservation organization that helps protect more than 50,000 acres across Massachusetts, including 25,000+ acres on more than 120 reservations that are open to the public. Join us by educating about our organization’s work in land conservation and stewardship, the coast and ecology, sustainable agriculture, advocacy, culture, and history. A Day in the Life:  

  • Oversee the daily execution of programs designed to encourage campers to investigate The Crane Estate’s unique identity from the standpoint of place – with a focus on environmental education.   
  • Create and implement a thoughtful schedule of educational and fun activities reflective of the weekly themes.  
  • Supervise Camp Educators and assist the Crane Education Manager in the supervision of camp leadership staff.  
  • Assist with Camp Educator goal setting, self-evaluation, and evaluation process.  
  • Provide resources, feedback, and regular communication to Camp Educators so that they can effectively supervise campers and execute the daily schedule.   
  • Complete administrative duties including paperwork organization, parent communication, and preparing for upcoming camp sessions.  
  • Manage photo and video content intended for parent communications and internal marketing.   
  • Participate in program development and camp evaluation meetings as part of the camp leadership team.  
  • Assist with pre- and post-season responsibilities 

Compensation is $23/hour. 
In addition to gaining great hands-on leadership experience and working each day at the magnificent Crane Estate and Crane Beach, Trustees employees receive free admission to our beautiful 120+ properties across Massachusetts, as well as discounts at programs, cafes, and stores.
