The role

The Healthy Loddon Campaspe (HLC) initiative is seeking a committed, team oriented and experienced professional to join a regional prevention network of Health Brokers working across local government and local communities to make health everyone’s business.
HLC is a state government funded initiative aimed at improving health outcomes across the Loddon Campaspe region – the ‘heart’ of Victoria. HLC was initiated by the Loddon Campaspe Regional Partnership in response to the regions higher than Victorian average rates of obesity, chronic disease and high-risk health behaviours. The success of the initiative has resulted in further state government funding through to June 2026.
As the Campaspe Health Broker you will facilitate a local governance group, work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, influence local government policy and practice, develop and deliver strategies, programs and projects, undertake community engagement and monitor, evaluate and report on your work.
To deliver the role successfully, a part time presence at the Campaspe Shire Council offices in Echuca is required.
About You
This would be an ideal role if you have experience and interest in population health or health promotion or with transferable skills in areas such as project planning and implementation, stakeholder management, change management, community engagement, policy development and evaluation.
We welcome applications from persons with tertiary qualifications in public health, health promotion, community development or social sciences with relevant postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
A satisfactory police record check and Working with Children’s Check is required for this role.
