About the Uniting Singleton facilities:
Elizabeth Gates – nestled in the peaceful rural township of the Hunter Valley region, a welcoming aged care home in an intimate community of 35 residents.
Alroy House – With 2 separate households, each with between 24-25 residents, including a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Your Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.
What you’ll be doing in this role
We seek a carer on a permanent part time basis to work 7 day rotating shifts.
As a Carer for Hotel services support, you’ll provide quality, timely and effective hotel services such as catering, cleaning, and laundry to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life.

Your care work may include:
- Providing support with household activities such as catering, cleaning and laundry making their dignity and independence a top priority
- Paying attention to personal safety and risk management for you and our residents by using appropriate manual handling techniques and food safety
- Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
Who we’re looking for
- Ideally, you’ll have a Certificate II in Hospitality or an equivalent qualification. If you’re not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help you get there.
- You’ll have previous experience in similar position (catering / kitchenhand, cleaning or laundry services) or any other community care
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
