Project Summary
Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) is an Iraqi national NGO that works to promote equal rights for women to ensure they have an active role in the Iraqi community. Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) was established in Erbil, Iraq in 2004. Since then, WEO has worked with a range of partners and donors that include UN agencies and EU grantees to implement programs and activities that promote equal rights for women to ensure they have an active role in the Iraqi community through enhancing their social, economic, and cultural participation. WEO works to prevent and respond to GBV and provides survivors of GBV with social and economic support as well as psychological counselling, legal assistance, case management and advocates to increase women’s legal protection.
WEO in partnership with IRC will implement the project of “Improving Safety and Economic Opportunities for Vulnerable IDPs and Returnees in Iraq”.
This program aims to improve service access, socio-economic and enhance recognition for Iraqi IDPs, returnees and Host community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
1-Case management
• professional management of GBV cases.
• psychosocial support of cases and families.
• maintain the security and confidentiality of cases.
• Volunteer work when needed is a part of TOR Coordination.
• Coordinate with all relevant actors and actively participate in GBV working group or sub-cluster and ably co-chair and push IRC / WEO agenda in the protection/ GBV sub working group.
• Participation in case management and protection meeting in camps and non-camps.
• Work with partners and community members to develop a referral pathway and referral mechanism.
• Coordinate with shelters and governmental institution.
2. Reporting
• Case manager should provide report of all data of case provided with services.
• Advanced degree in Social Work, Public Health, International Development or other relevant field of study preferred Previous work experiences in case management.
• Experience in emergencies and conflict areas strongly preferred.
• Relevant regional experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with standards and guidelines for GBV programming and coordination.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently.
• Eextremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and. Frustrations.
• Excellent decision-making skills.
• Team player and strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficient in computer applications, especially with MS Word and MS Excel, MS PowerPoint a plus.
• Arabic language is requested; English is a plus.
