Earlier Access to Support & Engagement (EASE)

The EASE project is a pilot program trialling a collaborative model of early intervention for families at risk through a partnership between WSSSA, Nunga Mi:Minar, Centacare Limestone Coast and the Australian Refugee Association. In line with National Partnership goals, the program objective is to offer earlier intervention to clients to prevent an escalation of risk and where possible prevent entry into the crisis homelessness system. Earlier intervention will occur through community development and engagement opportunities and outreach case management.

THE ROLE

The Case Manager will work with women and their children who are at risk of or are experiencing domestic and family violence, through the provision of specialised ‘outreach’ case management and early intervention responses.

Undertaking risk assessments and create early DFV intervention pathways for safety and support.

The successful applicant will also be required to participate in community engagement activities to increase community knowledge and create early intervention pathways.

You will work with the other initiative partners to ensure streamlined access to earlier intervention supports across the state.

We are seeking to recruit a Case Manager on a full time basis, initially offered fixed term until 30 September 2024 based at our Western Suburbs Accommodation site.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this position you will have significant experience in the provision of case management and early intervention through trauma informed responses and practice in a domestic violence or strongly related field. Other key requirement include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Services or similar, and/ or experience commensurate with the position.
  • Excellent knowledge of theoretical approaches and practice foundations applicable when working with women and children experiencing domestic and Aboriginal family violence
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage complex caseloads and negotiate successful outcomes for clients
  • Solid understanding of risk assessment and safety management as it relates to women and children experience domestic and family violence
  • A current drivers licence, and be eligible for, or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance;
