  • Base salary $93K plus super, salary packaging and full private use of a Berry Street vehicle.

The Opportunity

Berry Street’s South Eastern Case Management Services (SECMS) is funded by Department of Fairness, Families and Housing to provide intensive support and case management to children and young people on statutory Child Protection orders and those that are considered the most “at risk” in the community.

We are seeking a Case Manager to join the highly motivated, passionate Intensive Case Management Services team to provide advocacy and meet the needs of our children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing contracted case management of children and young people in accordance with Children’s Court directions.
  • Assisting children, young people and their families to minimise risk and gain stability in their lives.
  • Enabling the maintenance of the child or young person with their family, extended family and other support networks.
  • Developing effective relationships within the community and key stakeholders.

About You

  • A Bachelor’s degree qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Welfare or a related discipline, however, we will consider applicants without Bachelor’s level qualification at an unqualified pay rate.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with DFFH, other government agencies and key community services organisations.
  • Proven experience working with children, young people and families who have complex needs and are on statutory protective and youth justice orders.
  • A sound knowledge of the nature of protective issues, homelessness, trauma, disability and the implications for their emotional and behavioural development.
