  • Brief Overview of the Position:

Iraqi Institution for Development (IID) organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Consortium Logistics Officer. This key role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the efficient and effective coordination of logistics activities within the consortium.

  • Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Coordination:

Responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all logistics activities within the consortium. This includes coordinating the transportation of goods, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.

Supply Chain Management:

Work closely with consortium partners to streamline the supply chain process. Monitor and assess the performance of suppliers, negotiate contracts, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

 

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards in all logistics operations. Implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain a high level of quality and integrity in the supply chain.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, prepare regular reports, and communicate effectively with the line manager (Executive Director/Program Manager) on the status of logistics operations. Provide timely updates and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of working in NGOs and implementing case management programs.
  • Expertise in Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) and demonstrated experience in crisis or conflict settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of the local context in Ninawa and understanding of cultural sensitivities.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic situations and effectively manage stress.
