Casework Supervisor

Job Overview:

The Casework Supervisor ensures high-quality service delivery and compliance within state-funded programs, overseeing case coordination, report preparation, and client fund management. They contribute to program planning and staff development by coordinating training, onboarding new staff, conducting evaluations, and fostering community partnerships. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Programs, this role directly supervises the casework team in the Refugee Support Services program (RSS).

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality case management through regular case file reviews, weekly debriefing discussions, and on-site service supervision.
  • Design strategies and frameworks for effective program operation, coordinate grant logistics, subcontracting, and monitor grant activities.
  • Prepare quantitative and narrative reports, ensuring timely submission and implementing data collection tools.
  • Monitor program budgets, expenditures, and donor deliverables, compiling data and drafting reports as per donor and agency requirements.
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor case management staff, ensuring adherence to program policies and procedures.
  • Meet with clients as needed to address self-sufficiency barriers and compliance issues.
  • Manage client crises as the escalation point and ensure crisis protocol adherence.
  • Assign equitable caseloads, lead case consultation and client staffing meetings.
  • Oversee compliance with donor requirements through ongoing service provision reviews.
  • Ensure staff use of data tracking systems like ARRPODs, ETO, and Integra, providing coaching and ensuring compliance with IRC procedures for case file quality improvement.
  • Analyze program development areas, recommend enhancements, and communicate changes to the Deputy Director of Programs.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as required.

Job Requirements:

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in social work or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in domestic refugee resettlement or similar programs.
  • Strongly preferred experience in supervising, supporting, and training staff.
  • Preferred experience in program management and budget oversight.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in languages spoken by client populations is advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle with current insurance, and willingness to travel regularly within the service area.

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
