NRC Palestine has a high ambition level in promoting ethical, effective, efficient, and large-scale market-based programming, either separately (through a ‘basic needs’ approach, e.g. multipurpose cash) or as a modality to achieve sectoral outcomes (e.g. market-based approaches for Shelter and or Livelihoods programming). Building upon its extensive experience with cash-based interventions in Palestine, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is providing large scale MPCA to Palestinians through a cash plus approach. NRC has been providing cash assistance in Palestine since 2014.

The role of the C&M Assistant requires the provision of timely, accurate and detailed support to the C&M Programme and Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) teams responding both to Gaza and West Bank operations. This position involves active communication with various internal and external stakeholders, managing interactions and ensuring effective communication across the program and MEL teams. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and have a proactive approach to support the C&M programming.

1. Support the program related activities such as (not limited to): data collection, data analysis and internal data reporting following the provided guidelines
2. Prepare specific visualization materials such as infographics, maps, summary documents and tables, visualization tools, etc, as necessary
3. Make phone calls with participants and/or services providers and/or agents and/or contractors in a regular and systematic manner to support the program operations and specific activities.
4. Lead the translation of program related documents from English to Arabic and vice versa
5. Update and keep records of all the data collected through various virtual means, as per NRC guidelines and procedures
6. Conduct online research on secondary sources to provide accurate and timely technical information to the program teams
7. Participate in internal and/or online external coordination meetings as deemed necessary to complete the indicated tasks
8. Support any administrative tasks required by the program units to ensure business continuity, not limited to financial, procurement and HR activities
9. Any other tasks and/or activities assigned from the line manager, within the scope of the position

• University degree in engineering, science, social or any related field;
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
• Fluency in English and Arabic language, both written and verbal
• Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential
• Ability to work under pressure, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet tight deadlines;
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix hierarchical structure with various internal interlocutors and communication lines
• Information management or data entry experience preferred;
