Context/Reporting line:

Under the overall supervision of the Project Officer (CCCM), the administrative supervision of the Head of Sub Office (HoSO), and the direct supervision of the Senior Project Assistant (CCCM), the successful incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

 

Core Functions / Responsibilities

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as tent repairs and installation, electrical repairs, general repairs, and upkeep of facilities.
  2. Repair and maintain camp fencing, roads, and pathways, ensuring they are safe and accessible.
  3. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Completed highschool diploma with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.

Experience and Skills:

  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organizations in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in maintenance, construction, or related fields is desirable. Fluency in Arabic is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and problem-solve in a fast-moving, multi-site environment;
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work on unusual hours and cope with the pressure from emergency activities;
  • Relevant certifications, training, and project experience, specifically in care and maintenance is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of humanitarian principles and do not harm.

 

Languages:

  • Fluency in Arabic
  • Working knowledge of any other language is an asset.
