Job Purpose:
Under the direct management of the CCCM Project Assistant – Community Mobilization. CCCM Monitor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities and collecting, consolidating, and reporting field data related to the state of services in CCCM camps in Acted’s Area of Operations. And to support assistant to establish community committees in the camps and follow up their activities. And to enhance coordination platform through operational meetings, services monitoring.

Objectives:
Under supervision of CCCM Project Assistant – Community Mobilization, assist in data collection and conducting different assessments and surveys using KOBO or paper-based. Assist CCCM Project Assistant – Community Mobilization in following up community committees’ activities and coordination meetings in the camps. Support project assistant in collection of complaint and feedback from beneficiaries and following up CMUs in the camps.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data collection for CCCM base line needs assessment using KOBO and other data collection tools.
- Following up all activities that are carried out by community committees.
- Assist CCCM project assistant – community mobilization to conduct regular operational meetings with CMUs, committee members and NGOs working in the camps to discuss the services, gaps, risks and problems and getting feedback from concerned actors, and advocate for solutions.
- Assist CCCM project assistant – community mobilization to conduct services monitoring assessment monthly.
- Assist CCCM project assistant – Protection CFM in CFM activities including awareness sessions about CFM and collect feedback and complaints from beneficiaries.
- Assist CCCM project assistant – community mobilization and governance officer to deliver training for CMUs and community committees.
- Support CCCM project assistant – community mobilization to submit ISIMM, ISIMM Plus, CCCM 4Ws and incident reports to CCCM cluster via the links they share before.
- Conduct focus group discussions, key informant interviews, observations for various CCCM activities and update demographic data monthly in collaboration with camp management units.
- Assist in preparing contingency plans at camps levels.
- Assist in fire safety, CFW and safety audits activities.
- Share daily activities report with CCCM project assistant – community mobilization.
- IEC distribution with collaboration with the camp management units and other community committees.
- Participate in documentation process and ensure timely submission to CCCM project assistant – community mobilization.
- Flag all on site issues, needs and incidents to CCCM team leader.
Key Performance Indicators:
For example, the key performance indicator (KPI) is a measurable value that demonstrates how effectively a company is achieving key business objectives. Organizations use KPIs to evaluate their success at reaching targets.
- Facilitate 6 operational meetings in each camp in 6 months and prepare minutes with photos.
- Support project assistant in fire safety activity in 4 camps till Dec 2024
- Update contingency plans at camps levels twice till Dec 2024
- Establish and follow up community committees in 4 camps till Sep 2024
- Assist in 6 service monitoring rounds for each camp in 6 months.
- Updated ISIMM, ISIMM Plus and CCCM 4Ws report on monthly basis
- Updated demographic IDPs database on monthly basis.
- 100 % of reports submitted in a timely manner to line manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
- High school certificate or above.
- At least 2 years of total work experience in humanitarian organizations.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with NGOs in (WASH, SNFI, MEAL, protection) departments.
- Experience working with KOBO and other data collection tools.
Preferred:
- A university degree is preferred.
- Practical work in the CCCM department is preferred.
- Previous experience in working in camps settlements.
- Very good and respectful communication skills.
- Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
- Commitment to humanitarian principles and good knowledge of protection mainstreaming elements.
- Good negotiation skills and coordination skills with several actors.
- Good understanding of SPHERE standards and environmental protection considerations. Strong interpersonal skills.
