leadership in the non-profit sector? The Sustainability Centre is seeking to appoint a
CEO/Centre Manager – a rare and unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of
authentic environmental sustainable practices and understanding in Hampshire and
beyond.

practice and promote sustainability as a process of making decisions which balance economic,
social and environmental factors for positive benefit.

messages and practical solutions for dynamic, creative change.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans that align with
the organisation’s mission and objectives. Lead the organisation in identifying emerging
trends, opportunities, and challenges in the field of sustainability.
Organisational Management: Oversee all aspects of organisational operations,
including budgeting, fundraising, program development, and staff management. Ensure compliance
with legal and regulatory requirements.
Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, ensuring the centre’s
resources are effectively and responsibly managed.
Fundraising and Resource Development: Lead efforts to ensure the financial
sustainability of the charity and secure funding from various sources, including grants,
donations, sponsorships and partnerships. Cultivate relationships with donors and stakeholders
to support the organisation’s sustainability initiatives.
Advocacy and Outreach: Build and maintain partnerships with local communities,
government agencies, businesses, and other organisations to advance sustainability goals.
Represent the organisation in public forums.
Staff Development: Provide leadership and guidance to staff members, fostering
a collaborative and supportive work environment. Encourage professional development and empower
team members to achieve their full potential.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop appropriate performance and evaluation
systems to be able to report effectively on the impact of programmes and initiatives. Regularly
evaluate progress towards goals and make adjustments as needed.
