Position description

Food for the Hungry is a Christian humanitarian aid and global development organization that designs, develops and delivers solutions so that children, families and communities have the agency and resources necessary to be resilient and flourish. We serve nearly 10 million people in 18 countries, with over 3,500 mostly local staff.

As a Board and executive leadership team, we find ourselves at a truly pivotal and inspiring time in our history.  We are in the midst of big changes and are looking for 2-3 more board members to join us on our transformation journey.

We are seeking a successor for the Chair of the Finance and Enterprise Risk Management committee, requiring a strategic financial leader familiar with the complexity of international structures and not-for-profit financial oversight.

In addition, the Board is seeking candidates who have experience in transformational organizational change processes within large and complex international organizations.

We welcome interest from candidates with leadership experience in counties and regions where Food for the Hungry is most active.

The voluntary commitment for this Board role is around 20-days equivalent a year including travel (expenses covered).
