Your Opportunity

Based from our Triple Care Farm site in Robertson serving clients and staff, the Chaplain will play a vital role in providing a listening ear, a source of compassion & empathy, spiritual support, and servant leadership. You will work to develop strong and supportive working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders and will provide a service to them that integrates with and supports the work of Mission Australia Triple Care Farm community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care and spiritual support to the students and staff of Triple Care Farm and David Martin Place.
• Assist staff in their understanding and ‘living out’ the organisations Founding Purpose and Values, including promoting values-based decision making at all levels.
• Conduct ongoing pastoral care sessions for staff where needed, promoting a reflective internal dialogue, and using a personal empowerment style of support.
• Research, prepare, and collaborate with Program Managers and Senior Chaplain to facilitate spiritual and cultural programs for the students in the program.
• Research, prepare and conduct reflections for staff which are aligned with Mission Australia’s Founding Purpose and Values and the operational focus of Triple Care Farm.
• Be available to support and connect to local churches students and staff, who express a desire to explore their spirituality.

Requirements for Success

• A Degree/Diploma in Chaplaincy/CPE/Ministry or a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role in a Christian Church or Chaplaincy role.
• Experience working with in a self-reflective and creative way.
• Experience in community consultation, facilitation, and partnership development.
• Influential communication skills – verbal, listening, written and digital.
• Ongoing commitment to personal spiritual growth and active member of a local church.
• Demonstrated ability to develop stakeholder’s relationships that assist to achieve program outcomes.
• Current driver’s licence.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
