Job description

Lifeline Tasmania is a highly-respected not-for-profit organisation with a long history of providing suicide prevention, intervention and postvention services and resilience-building programs throughout Tasmania. Proudly celebrating 50 years of serving the Tasmanian community, the organisation’s dedicated team of volunteers and staff remains steadfastly committed to its vision: a resilient Tasmania free of suicide. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Chief Executive Officer to join Lifeline Tasmania as the organisation continues to move through a time of change and growth. The Chief Executive Officer will drive the organisation to deliver on its strategic objectives, and enhance the profile and public awareness of Lifeline Tasmania through relationships and representation within the community, corporate partners, government, donors and other partners to foster support, collaboration, and economic resilience.

The role will also lead stakeholder engagement strategies to actively enhance and expand upon existing business opportunities and drive a culture that is focused on customer service, continuous improvement and excellence within the organisation.

The successful applicant will demonstrate proven success at a senior leadership level, ideally in a similar service-oriented or not-for-profit organisation, together with contemporary leadership and people management skills. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and representation skills and the ability to build collaborative working relationships is essential.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a creative and innovative thinker to provide strong outward facing leadership and engagement, and inspire the talented workforce in one of Tasmania’s best not-for-profit organisations.
