What does the role involve?
Reporting to the CEO, this role serves as a key driver of the organisation’s performance rhythm, ensuring we stay on our growth trajectory. This encompasses shaping and executing the strategic business plan, optimising financial performance, and managing and mitigating business and project risks.
Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Assess organisational performance against annual budget and long-term strategy.
- Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Provide counsel, insight, and expertise to the CEO, Board, and subcommittees. With the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Manage risks by identifying potential financial pitfalls and implementing mitigation measures.
- Team Leadership and Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the finance teams.
This role is based in our Mascot office and will work a hybrid model, including two days in the office per week.
Who are we looking for?
For this role, we are seeking a highly organised and dynamic individual, who is committed to making a difference in the world. The successful candidate will have a mix of the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a CFO o in a senior financial leadership role. (NFP experience is desirable)
- Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field; including a CA/CPA.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with organisational objectives, driving sustainable growth and innovation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
