Chief of Party, She Leads/Pakistan Rises

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key liaison to USAID for all project activities, including overseeing all staff, partners, and consultants;
  • Provide strategic guidance to all project activities related to women-led businesses; access to capital and business development services (BDS); entrepreneurship; and policy reform;
  • Oversee all project activity implementation and supervise key technical and finance/operations team members;
  • Responsible for contractual compliance of all project activities;
  • Serve as key liaison with all Pakistani partners (government, civil society, academia, businesses);
  • Collaborate with Banyan Global headquarters team on contract compliance, reporting, and human resource issues;
  • Oversee quality control for all project deliverables, including all reporting to USAID.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of issues related to women-led businesses; access to finance; entrepreneurship; the legal and regulatory environment; venture capital; the gender digital divide; and social norms across Pakistan;
  • Understanding of Government policies on enterprise development, small and medium-sized businesses, and access to financing;
  • Ten years of progressively responsible experience on projects related to women-led businesses, entrepreneurship, and access to finance;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working on donor funded programs, preferably as a Deputy Chief of Party or COP;
  • Knowledge around the digital economy and the gender digital divide;
  • Experience designing and implementing programming that supports gender equality and equity;
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and working with the Government of Pakistan;
  • Proven experience working and collaborating with Pakistan’s private sector, business associations, incubators, and the business community;
  • Superior interpersonal and diplomatic skills, with ability to effectively work with a variety of counterparts;
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills;
  • High degree of responsibility, organization, and punctuality;
  • Proven track record of leadership, including success in hiring, leading, and motivating highly-effective teams;
  • Master’s degree in business administration, law, economics, finance, policy or related field.
