Here’s where you come in:

World Vision International Burkina Faso is currently accepting applications for a Chief of Party for an anticipated USAID-funded Health Service Delivery project. This is a five-year project with an anticipated budget in the $25-$49M range.

As the Chief of Party (COP), you will be responsible for directing the project team with an integrated vision, applying effective leadership and strategic planning skills, management experience, outstanding interpersonal skills, and strong written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate should possess significant experience managing program, financial, and operations of USAID- or other international donor-funded projects.

Please note: this position is contingent upon funding and donor approval.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited university in public health, health policy, health service delivery, community health, international development, or related area
  • Minimum of 10 years of senior-level management experience on donor-funded public health or development programs. Previous experience with management of USAID-funded programs is required.
  • Previous Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, or senior leadership role on USAID-funded projects in at least one of the following specializations: public health, health service delivery, health system strengthening, community health, institutional capacity building and/or related field in Burkina Faso or the immediate region.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Burkina Faso’s public health priorities and USAID’s health service delivery approaches and gender programming.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English, with additional fluency in any of the local languages preferred.
