Our mission includes providing essential support services, funding critical cancer research, and offering accommodation for patients undergoing life-saving treatments. Established in 1989 as the Bone Marrow Donor Institute, we’ve expanded our focus to include various cancer types, demonstrating our dedication to making a meaningful impact on the cancer community.
About the Role
We seek a visionary, hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) who can work at a high level while managing competing priorities to join our dynamic organisation, ready to take on an exhilarating challenge. In this role, you’ll serve as the driving force behind our operations, requiring exceptional organisational, communication, and leadership skills and a relentless passion for innovation that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible.
What will you do?
As the COO, you’ll collaborate closely with our distinguished executive team and Board of Directors. Together, we’ll embark on a journey to conceive and execute long-term strategies, propelling our foundation to unprecedented productivity and success. These strategies encompass a multifaceted landscape, including Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Procurement, Information Technology, Accommodations, Office Management, and Board Secretariat.
You’ll assume a critical, transformative role in partnership with our CEO, ensuring our organisation is in lockstep with its strategic objectives. In essence, you will help drive us toward our ultimate ‘north star’ goals. About You
- 5-10+ years of senior leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business
- CA or CPA qualification (mandatory)
- Budgeting and business planning expertise
- Exceptional negotiation skills
- Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of operational functions
- Proven efficiency in process management
- Effective at streamlining structures and roles
- Familiar with industry regulations and legal guidelines
This is an outstanding opportunity in the dynamic NFP industry for an experienced Chief Operations Officer with at least 5 years’ experience. This role is effectively the second in charge to the CEO, offers a great salary commensurate with your experience, flexible hours, WFH opportunities and salary packaging benefits.
