This position will be responsible for supporting the Director General in building and maintaining institutional partnerships with relevant stakeholders such as MDBs and other DFIs, think tanks, academia, civil society organisations and the private sector, in line with NDB’s mandate and general strategy.

The position is also responsible for engaging with donors and funding partners, contributing to the mobilization of resources for supporting the Bank’s activities.

Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:
•    Evolve appropriate outreach and engagement plans for exploring, establishing and maintaining mutually enriching bilateral and multilateral institutional partnerships.
•    Leverage existing partnerships under various MOUs and cooperation agreements signed by the Bank to create opportunities for collaboration and joint activities leading to achievement of the Bank’s strategic goals.
•    Coordinate engagement with relevant stakeholders, viz., development institutions, MDBs, premier think tanks in member countries, international organisations, academia, NGOs/CSOs and private entities. 
•    Engage with all internal stakeholders and coordinate NDB’s effective participation in external activities.
•    Coordinate the visualization and orchestration of joint events and other initiatives with partners.
•    Contribute to mobilizing technical and financial resources for supporting the Bank’s business functions.
•    Manage relationships with funding partners, including bilateral development agencies, philanthropic institutions and donor-based funds.
•    Support other Departments in the development of special funds, syndications and other appropriate structures. 
•    Nurture talent to ensure continuous learning and development of the team. 
•    Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Position requirements 
•    Minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience, culminating in a leadership role and position of influence, in multilateral development banks, development agencies or similar institution (previous experience in MDBs is preferred).
•    Work experience in engaging with multilateral banks and other international organisations. 
•    Awareness of laws used in multilateral/bilateral agreements, with legal inputs where required. 
•    Track record of effective negotiation skills. 
•    Strong strategic thinking skills.
•    Communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse team and to foster teamwork and collaboration in a multi-cultural work environment. 
•    Knowledge of global economic growth and development trends, financial markets, climate change and sustainability, Infrastructure, and other development needs of EMDCs.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and capacity to lead production of Agreements/MoUs and partnership documents.
•    Ability to engage and negotiate at leadership levels for securing the Bank’s strategic objectives.
•    Master’s Degree from a reputed university with distinguished academic record. Additional attributes or qualifications would be a plus, including a PhD or professional certifications.
