About our role
As part of our Digital Transformation journey, we have a newly created opportunity for a senior leader to develop and lead our Security practice. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that The Smith Family effectively manages cyber risk to preserve the trust of our customers, staff, volunteers, donors, partners, and stakeholders.
This role will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cybersecurity, infrastructure hosting, and cloud environments.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Managing Governance, Risk and Compliance with respect to our Cloud and Cyber teams
- Maintaining and Improving TSF’s Technology Infrastructure
- Maintaining and Improving TSF’s Cyber Function and be the focal point for IT Security Investigations
- Leading a team of people managers, building capability and skilling across our Cyber and Cloud teams
About you
As a senior leader driving both our Cybersecurity and Cloud Services agenda, you will work collaboratively across the organisation in safeguarding the TSF’s digital assets, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining a secure technology infrastructure. You will develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the organisation from cyber threats and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
With an unwavering commitment to safeguarding our operations, you will play an integral part in shaping TSF’s cybersecurity strategies, driving secure solutions, and ensuring the protection of our valuable assets.
Your expertise will guide the organisation towards becoming a trusted and secure entity in the digital landscape.
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years experience as a CTO or CISO or similar in a comparable organisation with demonstrable experience with Australian regulatory requirements
- 2+ years experience as a CTO or CISO or similar in an organisation with Child Protection obligations
- Experience in Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity across Microsoft Cloud and AWS environments.
- Leadership: Experience leading a team of managers, and leading diverse teams
- Substantial private, hybrid and public Cloud engineering experience in a DevSecOps environment
- Demonstrable experience helping comparable organisations achieve Essential 8 maturity
- Knowledge of third party auditing and cloud risk assessment methodologies
- Demonstrable working relationship with ACSC, eSafety Commissioner and OAIC
- Leadership: Experience leading a team of managers, and leading diverse teams
- High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgement and maturity
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to communicate information security and technology risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of third party auditing and cloud risk assessment methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and process-oriented thinking abilities
