ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting new position that has been created for a candidate who is experienced in providing individual, children, couples and family therapy. This role is responsible for delivering therapeutic and group work services to clients experiencing high and ongoing conflict. The services provided will be aimed at strengthening relationships and enhancing the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
The role includes a focus on working with children and young people, between the ages of 6-14 years old, however the services you provide will not be restricted to this age group.
The role will be based in our Port Macquarie office with some work also required at our Taree office.
This is a Permanent Part time position, working 30 hours per week and is in line with a Schads Award level 6, paying $58.11 per hour + 11.5% superannuation.
Key duties will include, however not limited to:
- Provide Counselling, Family Therapy, including Family Reunification and/or Restoration, and Court Ordered Family Therapy services to clients; meeting agreed targets and client outcome measures to clients, including individuals, couples, children and families, in accordance with Interrelate’s service guides, policies and procedures
- Facilitate groups, seminars and workshops
- Conduct intake assessments and facilitate case planning and management processes with clients and stakeholders
- Conduct child consultations in accordance with clinical procedures (where required)
- Where suitable, provide family therapy in conjunction with other Interrelate Practitioners in a multi-disciplinary approach

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioural or Social Science, Counselling, Social Work or Psychology, along with a minimum three years of recent previous experience in individual, children, couples and family therapy; Qualifications in Child Inclusive Practice/Child Consultancy, or willingness to obtain.
- Recent experience working with families, children/young people and extended families, especially those with complex presentations, and including court-ordered clients
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team in the context of the delivery of holistic therapeutic services
- High level of skills and experience in undertaking assessments and screening processes for clients
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the management of casework, development of case plans and reviews for clients
- Experience in providing post-separation clinical services for clients
- Experience in the development and delivery of relationship education and therapeutic group work
