Our Play2Learn program is an outreach early childhood program that goes out into the community and at schools to support families and children to reach their full potential. Here you’re empowered to make a difference in children’s lives by learning, sharing and collaborating to find new ways to solve problems. 

In this part-time permanent position, you’ll support early childhood development and school readiness skills, and will facilitate improved relationships between parents and children. Working across different sites as part of our mobile service, you’ll work in a team to create an environment of trust and respect with families and children. You’ll be part of our Play2Learn team and report to our Team Leader.

We have 1 role available, based in the Townsville region for a 20 hour a week contract (Monday – Thursday) until June 2026.

You will make a difference by:

  • Assisting to develop and deliver early learning programs
  • Working within a team to ensure programs are age and developmentally appropriate
  • Creating a welcoming and safe environment to encourage active participation
  • Growing an understanding of early learning amongst families and sharing your knowledge with community members

Bringing your best every day, means:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Children’s Services or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with children aged 0-5 and families in a group setting
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Current valid driver’s licence
