JOB SUMMARY:
The Child Protection Case Management Supervisor will ensure the provision of quality child protection case management and psychosocial support services to vulnerable and at-risk children. The Supervisor and Child Protection Case Managers will train, coach, and support Child Protection Case Managers and strengthen support systems for vulnerable and at-risk children.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Capacity Building and Service Oversight:
- Train Child Protection Case Managers, in line with the Inter-Agency Guidelines for Case Management and Child Protection and International Medical Corps’ Child Protection Minimum Standards.
- Train Child Protection Case Managers to respond to child survivors, in line with Caring for Child Survivors of Sexual Abuse.
- Coach Child Protection Case Managers through regular group and individual sessions.
- Conduct routine case review meetings.
- Conduct regular supportive supervision sessions for quality assurance and to identify capacity gaps and needs.
- Develop tailored capacity-building plans for Child Protection Case Managers, including plans for self-learning.
- Support Child Protection Case Managers as required to respond effectively to cases, including direct service provision, coordination, and advocacy with other service providers.
- Oversee distribution of material and cash assistance to survivors and vulnerable and at-risk children and their caregivers.
- Support training of other service providers who may interact with vulnerable and at-risk children.
- Contribute to the development and effectiveness of child protection referral systems/pathways and service mapping.
- Ensure adherence to International Medical Corp’s Child Protection Minimum Standards, as well as relevant inter-agency guidelines and standards including the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action.
- Supporting the team to establish and build the capacity of the CP-CBC. And other community stakeholders.
- Supporting the Child Protection team in developing and implementing Child Protection mobilization activities.
Human Resources Management:
- Recruit and supervise Child Protection Case Managers and Field assistants.
- Create a safe and supportive environment for the Child Protection team including both Case Managers and Field assistants’ teams.
- Develop support strategies for Child Protection Case Managers, foster team building, and support principles of self-care.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Seek and analyze feedback from clients and adapt services accordingly.
- Oversee post-distribution monitoring.
- Oversee service documentation.
- Ensure strict data protection and information-sharing protocols to protect the privacy, confidentiality, and safety of children receiving services.
- Contribute to internal and external reports.
Coordination, Advocacy, and Representation:
- Coordinate regularly with the child protection leadership team and participate, as required, in broader team meetings.
- Mobilize stakeholders to strengthen coordination and safe access to services for vulnerable at-risk children.
- Organize case management meetings, as required, with other service providers.
- Coordinate with MHPSS, GBV, health, and other sectors to strengthen integration and referrals.
- Represent program goals and child protection standards.
Security and Conduct:
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies.
- Foster a safe and supportive working environment for all child protection staff and partners.
- Exemplify core principles of child protection programming including do no harm, non-discrimination, confidentiality, and prioritizing the best interests of the child.
- Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the program and organization, notably through adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics, including compliance with anti-harassment, safeguarding, and PSEA policies.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Typically, a bachelor’s degree in a related field e.g. psychology, social work, or education. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Typically, 5+ years of experience in the sector and 3+ years of experience working as a Child Protection Case Manager
- Familiarity with child development.
- Demonstrated commitment to core principles of child protection programming including the provision of child-friendly and child-centered services.
- Familiarity with Child Protection Case Management standards and tools.
- Training and facilitation experience.
- Good interpersonal and advocacy skills.
- Very good listening and communication skills.
- Familiarity with government and NGO service providers preferred.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, remain flexible, and apply experience and guidance to evolving challenges.
