Program Coordination

  • Coordinates the creation of CCAMPIS application to determine eligibility to receive childcare vouchers. Identifies and recruits student-parent participants to receive childcare vouchers. Facilitates meetings with students receiving vouchers to ensure needs are being met and they are succeeding in the classroom. Conducts educational assessments in collaboration with CCAMPIS team. Assists with developing and implementing an effective marketing and media relations program to promote awareness of childcare voucher program and related services. Identifies program adaptations and improvements.
  • Convenes and facilitates meetings and engages College and community partners to build connections and referral strategies, and to collaboratively achieve the milestones and goals of the CCAMPIS program. Creates program tools, policies, and procedures for use by the College and/or partner agencies. Develops and implements educational opportunities for both students, college employees, and community partners focused on basic needs insecurity and financial stability, and economic mobility.
  • Works with the Grants Office, the Foundation, and other entities, to secure and manage additional funding for aid programs. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of program delivery and serves as a point of contact in the Student Advocacy Center. Assists in the development of goals and measures for the program and actively monitors and reports on progress. Promotes programs to students, college, and community partners. Maintains regular communication with Columbus State leadership and partner agencies.

Student Success and Community Building

  • Collaborates with on-campus childcare center Master Operator, Student Services, Financial Aid, and the ECDE departments. Collaborates with student’s academic advisors for holistic view of student progress. Monitors academic progress and addresses academic needs. Facilitates student-parent group meetings and community service projects. Assists students in applying for Title XX-publicly-funded childcare, SNAP Food Assistance, PRC Emergency Assistance, and Medicaid. Collaborates with on-campus childcare center Master Operator, Student Services, Financial Aid, and the ECDE departments. Identifies academic and other needs and refers participants to appropriate programs and community resources.
  • Works to meet the college’s retention, graduation, transfer, and equity goals in alignment with the college’s mission, vision, and strategic plan. Delivers individual and group services, presentations, and other programming in- person and online. Facilitates connections to other college and community support services and establishes follow-up activities. Utilizes a holistic, cross-functional, and collaborative approach, and actively develops working relationships with college and community partners and stakeholders to reduce barriers and positively impact student success.

Fiscal and Administrative

  • Engages with local childcare facilities to ensure access to childcare. Establishes MOUs with local childcare facilities to approve childcare vouchers. Works with approved childcare centers and vets additional childcare centers. Verifies student’s income and aligns it with sliding fee scale to determine voucher amount and student expense for childcare. Tracks and advises leadership of necessary project expenditures and monitors program spending, including adherence to any grant requirements. Conducts assessments of student needs, and collects, evaluates and reports data on program services.
  • Tracks and utilizes data to make suggestions and to deliver insights into program strategy. Keeps accurate records. Completes and maintains required documentation, including contact reports, fund distribution, status reports, and grant-related paperwork and contracts/MOUs. Maintains confidentiality of student records. Maintains personnel files, financial data, and other sensitive information. Utilizes student information system and other computer systems/software to access and enter student information, to log documents and other information, to perform data entry, to develop and maintain departmental forms, resources, correspondence, records, statistics, reports and to complete other projects and job functions.
