Children & Youth Worker

Emmanuel has a large and growing number of children with four separate age groups in our Sunday provision, and a small group of youth that is likely to increase dramatically in size over the next two to three years. The children’s ministry has developed beyond Sundays to include several family events including Light Parties, Christmas and Easter events and a summer holiday club.

We are looking for an individual who has a passion to see children and youth engaging with the gospel and growing in their lives of discipleship, who can help us to continue to improve the quality of our children and youth work. Our aim is for all our children to attend well planned provision led by well trained volunteers; for all those involved in children’s ministry to share this heart for children and find creative ways for our children to interact with the gospel and experience its challenge, comfort and joy for themselves. It is also our desire for children to build strong friendships with each other and benefit from integration into the wider church family. We want our youth to build strong friendships with each other, as well as being supported in their integration into the wider church family. Our aim is for all our youth to increasingly grow in confidence navigating the world they live in and in confidence sharing the gospel with those around them.

Please note that this advertisement is open to full-time and part-time applicants. In order to form a full-time role, some other office-based staff functions may need to be fulfilled, but these would be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.
