# Pay Range: $23.45-$37.52 CHMC # Social Worker Assistant # Children#s MHU # Full Time- Day Shift # Requisition 7090 Job Summary: A Social Work Assistant is a member of the interdisciplinary team who works directly under the supervision of a Licensed Social Worker to provide a variety of case management service and coordination to the patients and families of the Children#s Mental Health Unit. Duties may include but not limited to assessing patient and families background information, individual needs, strengths and limitations; identification, implementation, coordination and evaluation of services. Preparation of written assessments, progress notes and reports/letters, communication to service providers. Collecting data to assist with treatment plans, motoring the patient#s progress towards goals and outcome achievements. Reporting Relationship: Director of Children#s Mental Health Qualifications: Required: Bachelor#s Degree or higher in a human service area OR a Bachelor#s degree or higher in human service area and one year of post bachelor#s social work experience. Examples of non-qualifying degrees include but are not limited to: anthropology, archeology, communication, criminal justice, fine arts, philosophy, and political science. Preferred: One year post bachelor#s experience with children and families Training and Experience: Preferred one year experience in a mental health setting or setting working with children and families. The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future.
