Church Operations Manager

Hockliffe Street Baptist Church, in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, is a vibrant church with members of all ages.

The key aims of this role are: 

• To support the Church Leadership to develop and deliver our vision, values and strategy.

• To help identify the many gifts, skills and talents within the Church family, including volunteers.

• With team spirit, to encourage, develop, lead and organise the people with such gifts including the staff team, to support all aspects of the Church’s ministry.

• To undertake secretarial duties for the Trustee Board and other committees, be a member of the Finance Team, and oversee the legal requirements of the Church.

• To ensure IT, AV and communication systems meet the needs of the church.

• To be involved in wider church activities and services.

 You should be a strategic thinker, with proven management and team leadership experience. 

A flexible role, some Sundays and evenings required. Up to 35 hours a week with some flexibility and the opportunity to work from home. Some out of hours work will be required and mutually agreed in advance. 

Annual leave:  25 days a year, not including bank holidays.
