The Job:Navartis are currently looking to recruit civil engineers at all levels for one of the market’s leading consultancies based out of their Leeds office.The company is looking to hire multiple candidates at various experience levels to integrate into their current Civils team – covering a variety of interesting lineside civils project.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supported progression to Contracts Responsible Engineer/enhancement of CRE capabilities
• Assist team growth through bidding, line management and business improvement activities
• Involvement in the preparation of technical outputs
• Provide resolutions to issues within the rail civil engineering space
• Familiarise yourself and properly apply health & safety and welfare regulations to promote proper working practices and culture
• Provide scope and supervision with surveys
• Undertake design calculations & risk assessments to produce required design outputs, working with the team to deliver these outcomes

As a principal level individual, you would also be required to:

• Support managers with technical delivery of projects, act as a mentor to support the wider team development
• Assist with work winning & lead design tenders
• Be client facing – provide technical assurance and manage stakeholder relationships

The Ideal candidate

• Previous experience within rail based civil engineering projects, working from initial study through to design
• Chartered member of the institution of civil engineers/ working towards chartered status
• A solid understanding of legislation and guidelines within the civil engineering sector, relating to codes of practice
• Ability to work as a part of a wider team, providing valuable contribution and adding to overall capabilities
