Job Description
AECOM is actively searching for a talented and driven Civil Engineer or Process Engineer who is eager to join our dynamic team and contribute to an exciting project in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will have the amazing opportunity to provide invaluable engineering support to our project teams, where you will be involved in various services. Duties include but are not limited to
-
Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
-
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

Proposes an approach to solving new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.

Identifies discrepancies in results.
-
Provides guidance to entry-level engineers.
-
Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
-
Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
-
Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
-
BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 4 years of relevant Process Mechanical Engineering or equivalent wastewater engineering work experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

California Professional Engineering License (Chemical or Mechanical)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
5 years of relevant water industry-related work experience as a Process Mechanical Engineer or equivalent wastewater engineering

Basic knowledge of Hydraulics Institute Standards
-
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, BIM360, REVIT, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models)

Flexible – can adapt to shifting priorities /work schedules.

MS Office proficiency.
Additional Information
Compensation
Exempt Position: The offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $80,000 – $149,000.
