AGIAMONDO e.V. is the personnel service of German Catholics for development cooperation. In the Civil Peace Service we offer professionals the opportunity for meaningful service in cooperation with local development actors. The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is a personnel program for violence prevention and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions. It works for a world in which conflicts are settled without violence. Together with church and civil society partner organizations in Sri Lanka, AGIAMONDO aims to contribute to civil conflict transformation there and to the sustainable equitable development of the country through peacebuilding measures.
As a youth-led organization, the West African Youth Network (WAYN) strives to become a training center for young professionals and leaders. The organization’s capacity in skills development and mentoring needs to be strengthened to achieve this goal.
As a youth-led grassroots organization, the West African Youth Network is small but agile, innovative and full of energy. The Civil Peace Service professional will have the opportunity to be heavily involved in the organization and contribute to the positive development of its staff and volunteers.
Due to a very young population, the participation of young people in political decision-making processes is a key issue for Sierra Leone and the region. WAYN is well positioned to bring youth-oriented organizations and voices together and bring about important change in their political recognition.
To support our partner organisation in Sri Lanka, we are looking for the next possible date for a Civil Peace Advisor for political youth work (m/f/x).

- Support networking and thus mobilize resources.
- You will be responsible for the proper spending and management of funds on the ground in accordance with donor guidelines and AGIAMONDO’s requirements. You will work in partnership with colleagues from the partner organization.
Your profile
- You have a university degree in political science, social work or a related field.
- You have relevant experience in youth work.
- You are familiar with the conception, implementation and management of projects .
- You have experience in advocacy and public relations.
- As a networker, you are used to maintaining partnerships and continuously expanding your network.
- You have a very good command of English.
- You have a driver’s license and ideally have driving experience.
- You are an EU citizen or Swiss national and identify with the goals and concerns of church development and peace work.
