  • Assist in organizing events that empower Lebanese youth from Tripoli and surrounding areas to advocate for issues relevant to social and ecological change.
  • Advise on implementing gender-sensitive approaches in projects.
  • Work closely with the team to identify opportunities for promoting peace, resilience, and nonviolent communication across various programs.
  • Develop new ideas for UTOPIA’s peacebuilding efforts and introduce innovative methods, recommend new partnerships, or propose activities that can enhance the impact of the Peace Hub and other initiatives.
  • Support the research of success stories and best practices in global peacebuilding and help the team implement/integrate them in northern Lebanon.

Your profile

  • University degree in international politics, humanities, social sciences, Islamic studies, peace and conflict studies, or another relevant field.
  • Extensive experience working with civil society organizations, applying conflict transformation methods, and implementing dialogue processes in local contexts, with a proven track record of team support and leading initiatives.
  • Experience in designing and implementing workshops and projects in dialogue and peacebuilding.
  • Comprehensive experience in drafting proposals, developing strategies, and providing strategic guidance for peacebuilding projects.
  • Understanding of Lebanese conflict dynamics and the complex political and social processes in crisis regions (experience with CPS is an advantage).
  • High cultural sensitivity, strong interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work with youth from diverse social backgrounds.
  • Ability to work under pressure and constructively manage conflicts.
