Job Description
AECOM Water is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Professional Civil Engineer to join our Central California team out of our Bakersfield office. The new position will support the growth of the Central California Department whose work emphasis is on meeting the engineering needs of our local Special District and Municipal clients as well as supporting other Regions within the Water Business Line. We are seeking an individual with technical experience in water/wastewater and other civil engineering projects. Our team is involved with all phases of a project from planning, design, bidding, and construction administration. Typical assignments include;
-
Planning including preparation of funding applications, environmental, right-of-way acquisitions, preliminary engineering studies, basis of design reports, master planning, and rate and connection fee studies.

Design including preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications as well as cost estimating.

Bidding including attendance to pre bid meetings, answering requests for information, preparation of addenda, and bid opening and analysis.

Construction which may include engineering services only such as review of requests for information and shop drawings submittals or full construction administration including inspection services.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
-
BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

CA PE License
Preferred Qualifications:
-
5 years of municipal and special district engineering experience.
-
Experience in design and construction administration.
-
Water / Wastewater treatment process engineering experience
-
Water / Wastewater conveyance systems experience
-
Storm Drainage / Hydrology experience
Additional Information
Compensation
Exempt Position: The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $82,000 – $125,000
