CIVIL WORKS-El Barde Borehole drilling and Auxiliary works

Scope of Works

Construction of borewell for Ceel barde water supply project in Ceel barde district of Bakool province. The works include Borehole assessment, identifying location, drilling of borewell, well development, insertion of casings and conducting pump test. The consulting company for implementation of these works in consultations with UNDP, Ministry of Water and Energy for Southwest and Federal government of Somalia and community representatives will select geophysical survey recommended suitable site that is   acceptable to the community for drilling. The main activities to be carried out at   selected site are as follows:

·       Geophysical survey of the borehole location

·       Mobilization/demobilization / transportation of the drilling unit team, drilling rig, water tanker, materials, and personnel to & from the site. 

·       The drilling of one Borehole of finished-cased diameter of 12”-18” diameter.

·       Soil sampling and analysis/classification

·       Supply and installation of PVC casing and screen.

·       Supply and installation of gravel pack of selected material.

·       Conduct well development works.

·       Construct sealed wellhead with cement grouting around borehole annulus.

·       Conduct test pumping of drilled well to determine the discharge capacity of the well and hydraulic properties.

·       Construction of Auxiliary works such elevated water tank, animal troughs, kiosks, rooms and so on.

·       Flushing/ redevelopment and pump testing of existing borehole

·       Conduct water quality analysis for the well.

·       Prepare well completion report.
