We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Claims Handler to join our clients Global Markets team.
As a Claims Handler, you will play a crucial role in processing and settling complex claims related to aviation, energy, marine, and liability within the global market.
Responsibilities
Review and assess various types of claims including aviation (cargo and hull), energy (offshore), casualty, marine (cargo and hull), and liability claims
Communicate with clients, brokers, and underwriters to gather necessary information and documentation for claims processing
Analyse policy coverage and applicable laws to determine the validity of claims
Conduct thorough investigations and collaborate with other departments to resolve and settle claims in a timely manner
Maintain accurate claim files and documentation while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards
Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the claims process
Qualifications
CII, or working towards preferred
Experience
Experience in handling complex claims within the aviation, energy, marine, and liability fields preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Familiarity with insurance policies, regulations, and legal considerations
Day-to-Day
Reviewing and prioritising incoming claims
Analysing claim documentation and supporting evidence
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Negotiating claim settlements
Maintaining accurate claim records and databases
Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and regulations
