PURPOSE OF DIVISION:

Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an international relief and development charity that envisages a caring world where people unite to respond to the suffering of others, empowering them to fulfil their potential. We are an independent Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in the UK in 1984.  Working in 40 countries, we promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and disease. We also respond to disasters and emergencies, helping people in crisis. Islamic Relief provides support regardless of religion, ethnicity, or gender and without expecting anything in return.

Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) has been working in Iraq for more than 20 years. IRW-Iraq was amongst the few aid agencies those were on the ground since 2003. Islamic Relief Worldwide Iraq is implementing several projects in the sector of livelihoods, WASH, Education, and Protection.

JOB PURPOSE:

Overall Responsibilities

Islamic Relief Iraq (IRI) is seeking a potential Cleaner to ensure the office is kept in a clean and orderly condition.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Responsibility:

• Serve guests and visitors.
• Ensure refreshments are available through the day.
• Make coffee and tea on daily basis.
• Empty bins and recyclables into disposal areas.
• Sweep, mop, and/or hand scrub floors using brushes, scrapers, mops and a floor cleaner.
• Clean offices, doors, glass, walls and metal blinds in the office.
• Clean and disinfect tables, chairs, washroom, showers, sinks, mirrors, etc.
• Clean restrooms and stock them with supplies.
• Dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, windowsills, external surfaces of cupboards and shelves.
• Maintain and use the operational materials in the best way without any waste.
• Inform the direct supervisor or head of the department immediately of the need for immediate maintenance at the office for electricity, water system, sewerage system and so on.
• Perform any other task assigned to her by the direct supervisor or the head of the department.
• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies.
• Notify administration when materials are running low so that they can be ordered centrally.
• Provide reception cover when requested
• If it is needed, to cook and prepare lunches for the staff of IR Iraq.

• تنظيف المكاتب والأبواب والزجاج والجدران والستائر المعدنية في المكتب.
• تنظيف وتطهير الطاولات، والكراسي، والحمامات، والحمامات، والمغاسل، والمرايا، وما إلى ذلك.
• تنظيف الحمامات وتزويدها بالإمدادات.
• إزالة الغبار والمسح الرطب وغسل أو تلميع الأثاث والحواف وعتبات النوافذ والأسطح الخارجية للخزائن والأرفف.
• المحافظة على المواد التشغيلية واستخدامها بالشكل الأمثل دون أي هدر.
• إبلاغ المشرف المباشر أو رئيس القسم فوراً بضرورة إجراء صيانة فورية في المكتب للكهرباء وشبكة المياه والصرف الصحي وغيرها.
• القيام بأي مهمة أخرى يكلفها بها الرئيس المباشر أو رئيس القسم.
• القيام بمهام التنظيف الثقيلة.
• اتباع جميع لوائح الصحة والسلامة.
• الامتثال لجميع سياسات وإجراءات السلامة المتعلقة بأداء المهام، واستخدام المنتجات أو الإمدادات.
• إخطار الإدارة عندما تنخفض المواد بحيث يمكن طلبها مركزيًا.
• تقوم بمهام الاستقبال عند الطلب.
• إذا لزم الأمر، لطهي وإعداد وجبات الغداء لموظفي منظمة الإغاثة الإسلامية في العراق.

 

Generic responsibilities:

• Ensure that the country set up comply with IRW policies and donor requirements.
• Ensure anti-corruption/Fraud focus in procedures.
• Provide regular analysis and reports.
