Cleaner – Erbil

Overview

IID Organization is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team in Erbil. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all IID offices and centres are maintained in pristine condition, contributing to a comfortable and hygienic work environment for all staff members. Additionally, the Cleaner must be willing to travel to our service centre in other activity locations as required to support cleaning needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of all IID offices and centres in Erbil.
• Ensure common areas, meeting rooms, restrooms, and kitchens are clean, sanitized, and well-stocked.
• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs as they arise.
• Clean, Office, Guest houses, and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning washing bed sheets, etc).
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks upon request
• Notify building management of any repairs required in the office.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Ensure outside walkways remain clear and free of debris
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used efficiently and effectively.
• Travel to Mosul and other locations as needed to support cleaning efforts in various IID centres and activity sites.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors.
• Report any maintenance issues or supply shortages to the HR Officer.
• Perform other cleaning-related tasks as assigned by the HR Officer.

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar cleaning role.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience working in a non-profit or similar organizational setting.
• Knowledge of effective cleaning products and techniques.
• Basic communication skills in Kurdish and Arabic or English.
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.

• خبرة سابقة في دور تنظيف مماثل.

• القدرة على العمل بشكل مستقل وإدارة الوقت بفعالية.
• قدرة بدنية جيدة والقدرة على أداء المهام اليدوية.
• موثوقية وانضباط مع أخلاقيات عمل قوية.
• فهم أساسي للوائح الصحة والسلامة المتعلقة بالتنظيف.

المهارات المفضلة:

• خبرة سابقة في العمل في مؤسسة غير ربحية أو بيئة تنظيمية مماثلة.
• معرفة بمنتجات وتقنيات التنظيف الفعالة.
• مهارات تواصل أساسية باللغتين الكردية والعربية أو الإنجليزية.
• القدرة على العمل كجزء من فريق متنوع.
• المرونة للتكيف مع الجداول والأولويات المتغيرة.
