World Vision – Iraq Office is looking for a highly qualified and motivated person for the position of CLEANER / HOUSEKEEPER – Salahaddin/Tooz
Purpose of Position:
Maintain the cleanliness, neatness, basic maintenance and safety within the office and team house environments. The holder of this position will also provide support during meetings and training events organized within the office premises.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES
Cleaning Duties
Sweeping and mopping all floor surfaces as needed
Dusting offices and meeting rooms as needed
Cleaning and disinfecting the restrooms on a daily basis
Cleaning of kitchen areas on a daily basis
Ensuring cleanliness of refrigerators on regular basis
Emptying all waste bins and transport to disposal area
Cleaning internal windows and glass partitions as required
Cleaning balconies and entrance areas on a weekly basis or as required
Ensuring replenishment of consumables in restrooms (soap, toilet paper, paper towels) on a daily basis
Keeping storage areas well-stocked, clean and tidy and keeping the cleaning materials safely stored.
Must comply with proper safety policies and procedures (i.e. when using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents, etc.)
Prepare list of consumables for re-order on a monthly basis
Perform other tasks as required by the supervisor.
Basic Maintenance and Safety of the Environment
Report anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person
Responsible for light maintenance, i.e. replacement of light bulbs, etc.
Report any safety hazards to appropriate person
Responsible for own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture.
Provide Support during Meeting and Training Events
Assist with set-up of function space
Responsible to ensure availability of refreshments during coffee breaks (i.e. coffee, tea, cold drinks, snacks, etc.)
Assist with preparation of snacks
Assist with catering during meetings and training events
Ensure cleanliness of function areas prior, during and after events.
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Native Kurdish.
Maintain polite and good communication with colleagues and visitors at all times
Good physical and mental health in order to perform cleaning and housekeeping duties
Be flexible
Must be self-motivated and able to complete tasks with little supervision
Adherence to security protocols.
High school diploma.
Experience and knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products.
